Please, please don't keep him long term in a 14 gal tank. I agree with the petsmart link above, minumum tank size is 30 gal.

... it bugs me that petsmart calls them "Leaf Fish"... this is a misnomer, not true leaf fish

me too, not even close.

4th post... The guy has over 11k posts and I'll go with what he says

Well i guess i'm out of the conversation since my post count isn't as large as his

You got the right idea though, you did some research. A simple google search said they'd hit half their adult size in 3 months.

No offense to y'all, but nothing's more boring then talking about tiny fish and tiny tanks on MONSTERfishkeepers.com. Don't get me wrong though, they're pretty fish

So I'm guessing they will thrive if that guy had one in a 5 gallon

Well, the guy in the 9th post said he'd recommend atleast 30 or 40 gallons and he's seen them at 8 inches but he only has 5,000 posts.

lol, on a serious note, do what you want. i've seen them relatively active but you're probably "safe", doesn't mean they'll thrive

then leave the thread. I had two of these in a 50 and with a bunch of other fish and they did fine, grew very SLOW way longer then 3 months to hit even close to 3 inches. Just run the tank and make the decision to upgrade IF they do get big. Mine stayed small for a while. Youll be fine just run it they are around 4 " fish you dont need a frig-gen 60 gallon. Just run it and see what happens.......

post count means nothing. It doesn't say anything about your knowledge or experience in any way. Imo.
