onced i operated DE but in just couple months DE came back and i dont think it related to the diet , also i have many friends that had same exp like i did
i think it is more to surrounding / environment your tank and internally the fish's traits and genes also could promoted the DE
and i noticed the aro that kept in the ponds rarely have DE

DE has been occurring more and more in young fish even those below a year old which points to other factors rather than diet. It's commonly thought that fat deposit causes DE and certain food are culprits but there are many instances when Aros are being fed varied diets but still develop DE. Hence, as you point out, environment and genetics are likely the actual cause.
