That black background is a great addition, really makes the plants pop out.
Watch out for Tilapia, they are plant destroyers.
The only ones I've been able to keep plants with, are the Lake Barumbi mbo planktivorous Tilapines like Sarotherodon linnelli or predatory Stomatepia, and even they keep my tasty plants like Vallisneria mowed. They do seem to leave plants like Crypts alone though.

Nice tank!

As for the talapia it was a piece of fillet for the fish not an actual live talapia!

A fillet, that's definitely the ultimate Tilapine ticket, eat while you watch the plants grow.
By the way, the lace plant is fabulous, kudos on a great job.

Haha hey thanks man, i appreciate it! BTW delicious beverage you got there

Thanks alot Homer! You have definitely given me some advice along the way! From the 1st pics till now is a radical change but i love it. Getting in the aquascspe aspect of fk is like getting into fk all over again. Very addicting and gratifying especially when you have to actually dose n03(k)! Just glad my supplier carries/obtains some oddball plants that are rare and unique like the fish thats in it!

Anyone else with suggestions/ideas/questions/constructive criticism are more then welcome to chime in.

Thanks again to HybridHerp for getting me to finally move my lace! So much better now :) & the biggest thx to injected Co2!

Update?

You got it. Just did a wc so its kinda bubbly!

Everything's good. Hard to keep up with this moss, seems to detach and attach to other plants. Kind of annoying but my bamboo shrimp love it and my Otto's and Sae's nip at it plus its a great place for eggs and fry.

Lace leaf doing good and growing

Great color

Java fern and 'palm tree plant's growing nicely

Wisteria literally taking over

Thanks :)

It is pretty delicate. Very easy to propagate tho!

What is the Latin on that palm tree plant? Hygro pinnatifida? I can't zoom on the pics using this app lol

To be honest I have not a clue. I can't even remember where I got it. It could almost make a good carpet plant even tho it grows vertical but if you prune it low it branches out pretty well and like I said very easy to clone and root!

Ill take better pics of it tomorrow when the lights are on!

Even the stem looks like a palm tree in a way
