I don't think anybody has tom and a really big point i was trying make of all of this is the first 2 to 3 years in a tank even the more proned fish like Occell don't seem to show signs of it mine are now five years old and climbing so my worry or concern is how to deal with this over many years in a tank or aquarium setting is it purely being in an aquarium and long term stress ????? fluctuating water parameters because they are in an aquarium ????? food or combination of all!!!!!????? remains to be seen proven out so to speak .....

We never discussed the effects stray electrical currents have and the long term effects as it relates to the immune system and low level stress. Even with the slightest electrical current present the comosition of the water will increase conductivity the farther we move from total DI pure water to seawater. Tempure als has an effect on conductivity. This is just somthing I was thinking about the other day. Also as I mentioned in an earlier post the inclusion of vitamin C will help boost the immune system as the fish ages. Just some things to think about and discuess among the cicliaphiles.
