hey guys,
im currently looking for a bottom feeder to eat up any remains from the cichla, and also an armatus.
it has to be easy to wean onto everything from pellets to feeders to shrimp.
gotta be from south america(doing a theme kinda thing...LOL).
cant get more than 2 feet or so,but cant be too small or grow slow,or else it'd be eaten.
and of course, gotta cohabit well with the fishes i have...
oh,if you can think of something that isnt a bottom feeder but still will eat any remains on the ground, tell me too!
ive kept many ripsaw catfish(irwinii, niger etc.),bichirs, some cats, and eels.
i cant think of any fish that would suit me.

thanks!
michel

try a twig catfish

several Panaque suttonorum :)...

no seriously some pleco will eat partial remains. Shouldnt be too hard to find a species from SA that'll do it.

Birchirs
are there south american Rays?

non-fish
- Crayfish. Give it a hiding place and it will only come out grab remains back to it's layer.
- constant supply of feeder shrimps.
- Large snails

i dont really like plecos, but maybe i'll find one i like.
ive had bichirs, too many to count.LOL
trying to keep this south american.
as for rays,im too afraid of keeping them.:nilly:
crayfish...hmmm....they wont harm my fishes?

i would personally go with rays, best bottom dwelling, plus south american. also sifts substrate. only thing is its fragility
