i would personally go with rays, best bottom dwelling, plus south american. also sifts substrate. only thing is its fragility

i really love rays bro.
but...im so scared of their fragility.:(
when i start schooling i might not be able to do that many water changes, plus those horror stories of rays eating characins...

Maybe a tigrinus, spotted shovelnose, or a lima shovelnose cat? All get around 2 feet.

i was thinking maybe a tig or juru.
but theyre pretty expensive and ive heard of them dying easily?

No experience with them. I hope to get a tig as my next cat. I know my tsn and rtc are very hardy, however, both suffer from poor water quality. I know rtc's get an awful gill curl if they're in poor quality water. However, the rtc and tig aren't really related at all.

My tig is a picky eater and only eats fresh food and it has to be worth his while.
I suggest some flag-tails too.
A nice carnivorus pleco like a L14 would do great too. They get about 14".
