Lima shovelnose

Gulper cat , if you´re brave enough to keep fish with it

Or a Large BGK, maybe there is some other knife that gets big enough too.

most gulpers i had never ate off the bottom,or if they did only the freshest stuff...
i think i might try some lima shovelnoses.
but i hear they grew slow..

My tig is a picky eater and only eats fresh food and it has to be worth his while.
I suggest some flag-tails too.
A nice carnivorus pleco like a L14 would do great too. They get about 14".

do those plecos grow fast?

Channa, if you get a Tig or a Juru, I will have to kill you.

Whoah, where did that come from.

So what's your stock now?

ive wanted one for long now...just wait til christmas.maybe.:naughty::grinno:

ive got...uh...
1 cichla piquiti
1 cichla "kelberi"
1 cichla monoculus
2 crenicichla saxatillis
1 hydrolycus armatus

as you can see...i downsized a lot.:grinyes:

another catfish choice....Leiarius pictus

mine's an absolute pig. IDK about you actually finding one, though. You could get an L. marmoratus, but they get more than 2'.

sry i don't have many suggestions

what about a giant raphael? and, btw, my friend has a 10" striped raph

i know you're afraid of rays, but why not a yepezi?

I think I'm going to get some 5-6" clowns that my lfs has and grow up some red head tapajos geos for cleanup in my 300. how about a larger-growing earth-eater?

The leiarus pictus is a great choice. Mine is 16" now and eats anything and everything from floating pellets, to sinking pellets, to shrimp, tilapia, and he even takes lettuce away from my silver dollars and eats it too.

Another great choice is the bolt cat, aguaranichthys torosus. My 7" specimen eats shrimp, tilapia, shrimp pellets, and floating pellets (his current favorite). Plus they top out at 14".

i had a true L. pictus before.
grew him to around 16" and sold him off after that.

dont really have a thing for raphaels,or any ripsaws for that matter.
had too many.:nilly:
i MIGHT get a ray...if not a juru.

whats the difference between a yepezi and motoro care wise?
a part from the fact they get much smaller.
ive heard teacups are hard to get to eat prepared foods as well.

i had some geos before, every other fish outcompeted them and then proceeded to eat their eyeballs when they were so weak...

i'd love a bolt cat,if not for their high costs and ive heard they are non stop swimmers that wont feel comfortable in a small tank.
my tank is only 4x2x2 right now.
