nitrates are at 10ppm..never had to much of a problem with the parameters..the highest it has been is 30ppm about a year ago after i added the 16 inch pleco... lost a few smaller fish..but since then its been great.

Neo,big difference.Your tanks are overstocked with adequate filtration.10PPM is absurd.Anyway, your Giant gourami alone owns that tank.Dats?Amphilophus?Parachromis? You already know your overstocked.Just be good(better) to these fish!

finally! yes!

i LOVE when people think they know more about your tank and fish than you do!

no, the giant gourami does not own the tank, in fact..the giant gourami keeps to himself and bothers no one, the midas is the most agressive fish in this tank, and even he keeps to himself mostly, as you can see..there are no beaten, torn up fish in this tank, and all have nice, fat bellies.

and since when is nitrates at 10ppm ABSURD? LOL...nitrites maybe...i'd say that was pretty normal.

this tank has been thriving for over two years, fish are fed 3 times a day, 50% WC every friday..don't tell me i don't take care of these fish..that is whats absurd.

anyway, thanks for questioning it..thats exactly what i have been waiting for, needed a good laugh

You took me wrong(gulity conscience?)i meant the gourami owns buy the size he will grow into.Gee,ya think the Amphilophus is dominant.Your nitrates are high, your overstocked, dont pick fights about it!

did you even read your first post here?

did i not say the smaller fish where going to be moved?

where am i picking a fight? you are the first to post something negative.

nitrates at 10ppm is not a concern..especially not for this tank.

"your giant gourami alone owns that tank"

this statement says to me.."GG's are agressive, he's probably the king of the tank"

i don't think i read your post wrong at all, "just be good(better) to these fish" tells me you attempted a flame ;)

and the midas is far from dominant, the oscars are the dominant fish in this tank..the midas chases the jag and severum, and has never done any damage.
