he's a tough little guy..stays with the oscars most of the time...thinking about putting him in the 55 though, he needs to eat more.

I'm still debating on if I should remove you right now. I guess I'll have to set up a vote with the staff. You've been decent for a while but you're reverting back to your own ways.

By the way, you're very wrong about the nitrates. I have a hard time keeping tanks at 10ppm even with a drip system.
 
I just cleaned up the thread. No more derailments, flaming, or name calling.


Great set of fish, and your maintenance must be killer to keep it as LOW as 10ppm. I'm amazed you can even keep it below 30. I'm lazy and I wait for nitrates to hit 40-50ppm before doing a water change. For those that may think that the person trolling might be right... The US federal limit for nitrates in municipal water sources is 10ppm. So in order for a tank to stay at 0ppm nitrate in many cities across the US, they would have to use RO water.
 
Im glad you moved the NTT. He was the only fish looking not 100% healthy.

Other then that your setup looks great.

How do you keep your nitrates that low?

I just have a few fish in my tanks and do at least a 50%wc a week and have a very hard time getting them below 20ppm. By then end of the week they are over 40ppm.

I agree. Oscars cause A LOT of bioload on your system. They nitrates will probably die down if you got rid of the Oscars.

Just my $0.02 But looks great Dan! I don't think it's overstocked at all. I've seen worse.
