Homemade Rimless 10 gallon

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would expect he knocked it down with a fine grit sandpaper. Or no? That's what I've done with any glass edges I've come across that have needed it.

How many bandaids did you go through?! My fingers look like they've grown rows of gills.

Did my 5g.

I tried to cut off the top but no matter where I cut it was firmly resisting. So I went Diddy Kong on it and ripped it off in peelings and chunks until it was all gone. Then a few drags of the razor got rid of stray silicone. Now it's clean and ready to go!

It. Is. Amazing. Thanks for the inspiration!

Now to the store to re-up on bandaids...

I have one question here kevin, did your tank also come with bottom rims? because I love the look of this and was thinking of doing this with my 29g, but i mean if I would be at risk of destroying the whole tank, idk if i would be interested in that. And if you did, was this any more difficult then the tops?

Yeah this tank came with top and bottom rims. The bottom was actually a lot easier to remove than the top. The top is secured with a TON on silicone, the bottom not so much. It came off in one piece.
