nah they are Cons, just a color variant. Honduran RedPoints are also known as the Blue Convict. They have the same basic breeding instincts just less aggressive.

I think that is open to debate right now. I have read reports of HRPs and convicts breeding in close proximity in the same body of water.

I'm not so sure I will have fry any time soon. The biggest one is 1", and the others are much smaller.

I have HRB's from a local breeder and from Rapp's. I have one breeding pair. They aren't just convicts. F1 HRP look to have different mouth shape. I read a good article on the web regarding diffences..I'll have to look.

they are great fish i jsut sold all mine ot another member. mine where from rapps and great looking but my female got offed and i was bumed and wanted to get somthing else.......if you do breed them make sure if there are any other fish in the tank its a huge tank or they are alone.......i had to line the egg crate divider with a cut down store divider cuz my male was hurting him self ramming the divider. and when they were in my 55 and had eggs he kept 5 other fish on the other side of the tank away from his eggs

They are in a 55 right now with a few chewed on giant danios and a cory that has lived through a few JDs and a breeding pair of sals. Hopefully there is enough room to spread out the aggression.

Are those from Rapps? My Rapps fish look like those. I have some from a local shop that are going to get culled. They look different from the same batch and have dark colors. I believe they are hybrids with a convict.

I did not get them from Rapps. I got them from a local store that had some quite a while ago. He said that these are offspring from fish that he sold a while ago. Don't know where the originals came from. So what would be the average price to get these if a person found them in a store? I ended up paying $5 a piece. Good? Bad? Average?
