HOORAY!!! I HAVE DATS!!!!

Thanks for all the replies.

These guys are so cool...I don't know why I've waited this long in my fishkeeping find out.

This morning they seemed to have adjusted to their little growout tank very well. They're all swimming around the tank and not hiding. They wouldn't eat flakes or pellets but they ate some bloodworms with gusto. Should I starve them for a while to see if they'll start on dry foods?

nice dats they look healthy

Thanks, but what about the feedings. Should I keep feeding them frozen for a while or deny them food until they start eating dry?

They're in with my daughters (very aggressive eating) sailfin mollies and I thought they were going to learn to eat from them. They watch the mollies going after the food and will try to eat it too but then spit it back out.

Dude dont even think about starving them. They are 1.5 inch fish, and they prolly couldnt handle being starved. Anyways, bloodworms are very important for their diets anyways. They grow faster, and healthier. But remember you dont want them to only eat one food, varied diet is best. So dont starve them to get them hooked onto dry food, just feed them many various kinds of food, now u just have to find out whats acceptable for the fish and not.

I suggest feeding..

Flakes, bloodworms, brine shrimp, tropical crisps, Earthworms, ghost shrimp(occasionally),Feeders(never unless you bred them yourself), cut up market shrimp, and whatever else you want to try.

Good luck, and i told you they were going to be Indos!! Good grab, i like your Splitbar!

20G should be fine for awhile.

nice lil group of dats.

Nice ITs.

Dats in big groups are always great.

The fastest growing indos I've ever seen were fed chopped shrimp. JD_man grew them out like they were oscars.

Great find!
