Hi Bro Jelly,

Yours might not be intermedius.

check mine out....

The side of the cheek is different from yours.

stock came in as Hoplias Intermedius

Still think your is a lacerdae...does that mean you hit the jackpot

In my country Intermedius can consider cheap...
while a lacerdae can reach the price of aimara...

Bought as black wolf price still worth it. :D:D

I got it alot cheaper than a black wolf aswell. :headbang2

Not a lacerdae as it only has 4 laterosensory pores along each side of the lower jaw, lacerdae has 6-8, usually 7.

The picture you have seen which is labeled Lacedae Sao Francisco was taken before the classification of the hoplias group. It is now excepted that the Sao Francisco lacerdae is intermedius.

How big/small are yours?

Tig, your wolf shows mala colouration but the head shape is unquestionably different. Not sure on intermedius but it depends on collection location. possibly brasiliensis?
Head looks almost hoplerythrinus..!

It would be great to get a clear under jaw shot to get a count of the pores as well as a lateral line scale count. The colour of mine does vary although 99% of the time it as the pictures shown. I have seen at least once in the typical brown colouring.
