Hoplias SP "Iguazu"

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hi. looking at some of the shots and the under jaw it does look like a Lacerdae group species. The shape is very similar to my Lacerdae. I still haven't really confirmed its true identity.

FINALLY........ Have been waiting to hear this for months now.

Recently we've seen "Iguazas" offered. After seeing pics of this larger Iguaza and owning a lower Xingu Lac I couldn't help but think the Iguaza is a Lacerdae.

We've seen Red Lacerdaes on lists for years now, but they're usually dismissed as "Mala variants".

After seeing a big "Iguaza" and the striking similarity to Lacerdae, I can't help but think the "Red Lacerdaes" we've seen on the lists are indeed the same fish as "Iguazas".

This all started making sense after Fugupuff brought in "Iguaza Lacerdaes".

I bought one from Wes and plan to grow the lil bugger out and see how the growth rate compares to the big ol lower Xingu Lac I have that Wes brought in 6 years ago.

Glad to see you post this Jelly as it doesn't seem like there's many wolf guys around here anymore these days....... Thanks!!!!

The other 2 I had no success as they are too aggressive and turned out to be solo only fish. Especially the AIMARA!!

To each their own........ ;) Agree to disagree.
