Hot snakes handling

I consider holding anything without a tool free handling. If you tail something, use a hook too (see below). Just stay safe man. I usually don't take my snakes out for anything really extensive unless I have someone else over. Just in case. And when I take pictures, I control the snake and hand the camera to someone else or let someone else control the snake while I take the pictures. It is just not safe to try and do both.

I think the main point here, is dont tail and take the pic and DONT tail something that small. Thats really what this boils down to.

ok buddy" but allot of people tail cobras in england eaven baby taipans i know of well respected people in the hobby do these!!

i do use midwest hooks also! cobra"s have a habbit of shooting up the hook in seconds thow buddy! thats wy allot of people tail elapidae!

I think he means that the snake can shoot up your arm and that it is better to have it shoot up a hook than you.
