How bad tilapia is. Stingrays starving

Poor quality also goes for shrimp from China. Any seafood or fish from China is absolutely garbage. I am feeding shrimp right now and it's says its from China. IMO it could come with a risk. Best diet for Rays would be home grown worms and pellets IMO!!!!

I've cut back on the amount of tilapia I feed. I tried w/c haddock and the rays seem to like it. For shrimp, I buy w/c shrimp now from the Gulf of Mexico.

I culture red wiggler worms - once you get them going, they're quite productive (and nutritious).

Try grinding up some garlic and rubbing it on the tilapia (or putting it inside). Fish LOVE garlic...

I only try to buy shrimp and tilapia from the US (for my family's consumption). Stuff from China and Central America is no bueno (for people or fish). Unfortunately the new law dropping the requirement for country of origin labeling makes it harder to tell...

I've always fed tilapia with no ill effects. But, as mentioned earlier in the thread, not all tilapia is created equal. I'm also from the camp that advocates a good, varied diet. I've got plenty of fish that will only eat tilapia, but not shrimp, and vice versa. Fish used to eating one thing may be reluctant to accept substitutions.

i used always fed my rays silversides in the beginning... so that may be an issue...
