How can I help my terrors become red?

A pair would be awesome. I originally planned on growing out two females and choosing between the two when they were bigger. I would eventually have to get rid of a male, but maybe I can get a couple fry out of them once I put in some rocks and driftwood. I have one question though; would it make sense that the female is constantly beating up the male?
You have a pair buddy!!!! Congrats! Now you can start a colony!!! Your female just has a bad personality. Put in a bunch of hiding places so he can stay away from her or put in a divider untill they get a little bigger. My female killed the other little female and an Umbee in the past month. I think once they get past a certain size like Piranhas they arent so agressive towards each other. Better watch out for your daughter, shes gonna be a hot one when she grows up!
