another reason is that it could be carrying egg and then thats 100s of carp that will not be a hassle

just found out they are poisoning off a lake near my house...its sad they will kill off an entire lake just to get rid of the carp

It's the cheapest way for them to do it. No local groups that could try fish / net them out?

I trust they are going to restock the lake?

Go netting before.

yeah they are going to restock the lake with walleye, trout, and both sm and lm bass. The problem is the fishing went from great a couple years ago to really crappy lately. They said the carp are kicking up too much mud just like you guys posted earlier.

Carp can live in muddy (turbid) water since they are sucker type fish. Preditor fish (most game fish) hunt for food by sight. Carp also tear up the grass nesting beds looking for food.

i just killed a 15lb and 25 lb yesterday. if somebody could help load pics from my phone, i have a pic of the smaller one. for you fisherpeople that have never caught a carp. it's as fun as catching tuna on the open ocean. the 2 yesterday made 50 yard runs and wore me out quick. i've taken literally hundreds from this piss puddle of a lake on corn or bread., and i still see shoals of hundreds!!!! they've even crossed with koi in this lake. if you're in da bay area, and have a 12er of guiness, lol, lets hook up!!! they sure are beautiful fish, but, they do destroy native fish and habitat.
best way to cook a carp. nail to cutting board, cook in oven at 350 for 20 minutes, take out, throw away carp and eat cuttingboard. how do i load pics from phone cam?????
i think it was new melones lake that used to pay $ for every carp brought in.

you see that thing in my avatar?
kill it, kill it. oh my bad, i think its a native sucker.
ahhh kill it anyways. haha

Send the picture to your email like in a pix message but instead of typing in a number type in your email then save the picture and upload it onto the site.
