did anyone ever say your fish was unheathy? i don't recall that...what i recall is the fact that 99.99% of the people out there are all talk with no backing...you have provided a pic of a rare sight...congrats on the no DE...your aro is the largest i have seen without...the 3' width makes a huge diff in how the fish behaves...also from your tankmate they seem to be the kinds that wont mess with it and make it jump witch helps your cause...again it wasn't just an attack at you, but to all that talk and can't walk...as i for one back everything i say and you have shown that you do aswell...

what you have nothing to say about 225 being too small for a solo aro..........didnt you try 10 in like 55g..........when you chime in on a thread like this, how bout you have some actual real life experience ..........instead of just ordering in and killing fish you cannot properly house.

bye now

For drop eye prevention instead of using ping pong balls you could always use floating live or plastic plants.

You just gave him some coffee before the photo shoot, didn't you?!

Nice aro, nice stock, nice tank.

Thats a great suggestion because that would also help prevent the aro from jumping as much if there were alot of plants.

Chill dude. Along with people with "all talk and no show" theres also alot of unnesesary bashing and aditude problems on this forum. I cant stand it. Thats why I stay away from putting in my input. Just chill. Know one can hurt you.

That does help prevent jumping.

choke on it...so i can't properly house them and i kill all i get right? what about the 24"+ that i have had and posted many pics on that i grew from 3"? so you say i just chime in with no experience and run my mouth? all the aros i have i seperate and they some how got past the dividers...also the fact that of the 10 i got all of them had their eggs sacks broke from not being shipped properly and the skin around the egg sacks dried and cracked had nothing to do with them not making it...you some how turned this into an attack on me when i never came after you and your ability...i said that everyone talks there fish up with no backing...so how about you keep your mouth shut as you don't know what the hell you are talking about...i have some of the fastest growth rates around so i must know what i am doing...."actual real life experience"...

You may have some of the fastest growth rates around, but you also have one of the highest death rates around as well. Not something to gloat about...You also failed to mention the whole damn forum was telling you not to buy from those suppliers for both the silvers and the retics. Clearly its your ifthey all died since you still went on with the purchase knowing what would happen...

yes i bought from some bad suppliers, after i was warned about them...in the same breath there have been people with good exp. with both of them so they both are hit or miss...not the best of choices for my ordering, but i will not order from either ever again...the reason i may have the highest death rate is cause i bought large amounts from the shoty suppliers...if you look at the fish that were from quality supplys this year, i have lost 5 of 8 and the 5 that i lost 2 were to jumping and 2 were eatten by a fish that didn't look like it could and one was just killed by my bgk...

also i have one of the highest death rates around cause i openly discuss my exp and purcesses...how many people on here and everywere buy more fish and they die without even posting once that they were getting or have had these fish? far to many to count...

LOL, seems the only one saying that your tank is too small in this thread is you. IMO the length of your tank has now become too short as it is no longer at least 3x the length of your aro. However the depth of you tank compensates for it. I'm sure if you so choose, your silver could live out it's life in that tank ans be just fine. Though if your aro gets to be 32"+ it'll be rater cramped but still be better off then the tanks most other silvers are kept in. Do you have plans for a bigger tank?

Regarding your aro's eyes and lack of DE(very good to see). Has your aro ever freaks out, to the point of slamming against the side of the thank or top of the tank? I still believe, from my experience, that the biggest factor contributing to DE in silvers is severe or repeated head trauma. I know once my silvers were put into the 3 foot deep tank they became more calm and have much less tendency to freakout. There are very few examples of large silvers without DE, of these most are kept/raised in tanks that are at least 3foot wide/deep. So maybe having a tank with a greater depth may be the best way to minimize DE.

Oh also, killarbb POST MORE PICS:D
