IMO, feed lightly, water change frequently, and closely monitor ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. Save your money on the chemicals, if possible get some already cycled media from another already cycled tank. I'm not sure if you mentioned what filtration is on the tank, but if you can replace some of the media in it with well seasoned media then it will help speed up the cycling process. A small amount of ammonia isn't good but won't kill your fish either, just keep it in check with regular water changes until the biological filter gets established.
