How do I get a dat off live?

How goes it, made any progress? I tried market shrimp with mine and he was very interested at first but didn't eat it.

Just dont give in.... they can go for a month without eating.... though i guess you can try to starve him for two weeks at a time or try to give him feeders so that you have confidence that he ate something before you starve him for a longer period....

SUCCESS!!!!! My dat officially digs market shrimp. He saw one of my black ghost knives munchin on a piece and promptly stole it from him. Thanks for the advice, good luck with yours. Patience truly is a virtue.
Are you serious? Today is the same exact day my dat accepted market shrimp as well! He saw my red devil eat it and snatched it from the mouth of the red devil. I believe this is a sign of progress. I guess this is a good day to teach a dat to eat MP lol
Glad to hear it! I'm still wondering if my dat only took the food cuz it was being jerked around by another fish looking like it was alive. Even still, like you said....progress. I'll come back and post after another attempt tomorrow.
My dat nipped at a piece of shrimp today, but again it was just because it was being jerked around by one of the ghost knives. It seems to have no interest in the shrimp until another fish starts to eat it first.
you are not starving the fish he has food if he wants it

they nearly always give in after 4-5 weeks with 6 w-8 weeks being the longest
