lol!!! why sea monkeys in a 55g. but when ever i have family over my tank is the main event when you walk in the door. they always ask me what is this ugly fish (regarding my spotted gar) and i tell them what it is. my grandpa loves to sit by my 210g and just watch the silver aro, datnoids, and the p-bass. my family always ask me how much i spend on my tanks and when i tell them they are like .
Had my parents round for dinner today and my dad was looking at my big tank and says, bloody hell i thought that was a log!!!!!(14"ornate)and what does that eat,i said ALOT
I said wait till the 12" endli comes out,now hes faaat!
He just says, christ dont they try to eat the others
Usually when they walk in their like, "wow, that's a lot of water" then I go show them the ones in the bedroom and the kitchen, while giving them the down low on scientific names and origins. I have a problem with talking peoples ear off about it. Also, "Wow you should charge admission at the door! You have so many animals"
for some reason every time kids see the tank the first thing they go for is the magnetic glass cleaner no matter how high i put it, they take it straight down into the sand then they start cleaning the glass, or i should say they start scratching the glass. ouchhhhh!!!
The best reaction was when this girl who I dont like came over with my friends. They're looking at the 55g with the goldfish and she's giving me the talk about how gross fish are.
Then she walks around the corner and see's the oscar tank and starts freakin' out, flailing her arms, yelling "eww eww!! omg what are those things!! etc...."
They slept over since we were all drinking and I wasn't letting anyone drive home. In the morning she's whinning about how she couldn't sleep because she thought my fish were going to some how get out of the tank and attack her.
Good fishies, and to top it off she drank the expired milk from my fridge in the middle of the night. She doesn't come over much anymore which is nice lol
