they love my setup but think I am sort of crazy for getting a 6 foot 150g tank that takes up a wall where most people would have put a couch.

well my tank is just small and not very much money invested and i get those replys and stuff if they went to some of your houses they would think there at like a fresh water aquarium ahah so would i actually ahha i get excited just seeing fish in real life.. fish that i have only seen im pictures ahha at the lfs a hour from my house lol
usually it is "WOW" or "How many tanks do you have?"
then the conversation will last about an hour on everthing about the tanks. All the maintance guys stop and have to look at the tanks, because no one else in the adpartment complex keeps fish.

I get a lot of people staring at the bichir only tank asking what the hell they are and why I have them. Lots of funny questions some cost questions etc. Theres 5 tanks in the living room so people are kinda curious as none of my friends are fishkeepers.
ive got a huge family. and there reactions are usually ''thats bigger than a dinner plate! lets eat it!'' . . . i say no!

They (non fishkeepers) will say you paid how much for that pleco? Referring to my L-25. You could get them at petsmart for $6.99. I say that is not a common pleco. Fish people say WOW! Where the hell you find an L-25 scarlet pleco that size! LOL
everyone comments on my porcupine puffer they eith say thats so pretty or eww whats that thing but eveyone likes to play with it cause it will follow your finger and if hes hungary he tries to get fingers threw the glass so my mom likes him and she doesnt like any other fish but she loves that fish so its good cause it got her thinking not all fish are "boring"
guests usually laugh when i point out my whiptail pleco, because he blends in so well with the driftwood and no one can see her. ive been meaning to get something awesome as a center piece for my tank, so people will say its cool.
