How do people/guests react when they see your aquarium?

My friends ask what else are you going to put in there?
They would ask when my midas was 2" long.

They did not realize how big my Midas and marble sailfin pleco are going to get, so my 65g (36x18 base) seemed empty to them. Now my Midas is almost 5" and the question does not get asked quite as often.

Wait till they see my new 120g! It will really look empty till my little Midas starts growing some more.

I got the same thing from a guy from work. "That's all you have in there? Get some more fish!" I'm like, "But it's an Oscar!" They don't get it.

my friends always think that when i say fish tank, i have a 10 gallon.

when they see the 55 gallon, they think its huge. If i only had a real MONSTER tank...lol that would be cool

usually they see my flowerhorn and say whats wrong with his head its huge

I usually get..

"Thats a big arse tank..." or
"How much money did you sink into your hobby?" or
"When you have kids, you probably won't have this hobby..." or
"Niccccce..." sometimes
"Can we feed them...?"

Usually with one or all of these:

"There's only one fish in there"?
"Where are all the decorations"?
"It looks like you need more sand to cover the bottom"

i keep my tank rite in front of the door .. so when a guest comes they always ask when i am gonna cook my fish as i have a 18" giant gourami ....
