oscar dont have a stroke, he asked I posted. I already have 2 thread on the tank and window in there. It has to do with fancy goldfish so:chillpill:

Not having a stroke, buddy... I don't let how or what people say on forums ruin my day...just like things to be streamlined like this thread isn't anymore... don't take offense.

To those that say that the deformities of the fancies are there to make a buck off hobbiest need to look a little into the history of fishkeeping. I'm not a huge fan, but would probably stare for hours at the beauties that ithurtz has.

Oscar, dont have a stroke  Talkin about deformed goldfish is derailed to start with, and was headed nowhere, If you want streamlined this thread should have been in the google-eyed goldfish forum Everyone involved has agreed that whatever you want to keep is your business, The tank project, is much more interesting. So why roll up and try to pick a fight. As for the history of fishkeeping, i defy anyone to show me out of which creek, lake, stream or river these fish as they now are came from. They are man made for whatever reason, and have no right being called NATIVE north american fish, because there not.

I think that point he was trying to make is that fishkeeping itself is a hobby and the breeding of goldfish from carp is the oldest form of fishkeeping. The chinese started breeding red/yellow fish because they represented a precious metal and were the fish possessed by the king himself.

fishkeeping in itself is unnatural.

i gotta say that my girl had goldfish and i wasnt fond of them and know i have 6 fancy, fat ,beautiful goldfish and plan on giving them to my daughter and also i have oscar's, rtc, tsn, jag, flowerhorn, new red devil and im looking into peacock bass for the future so im very well rounded in my fish keeping and i love them all the same

scum fish

REALLY expensive feeder fish...

Ofcourse the two goldfish I have sitting in my native tank right now are rescues that are too big for any of my fish to eat at the moment... they get to wait till the RTC and TSNxRTC hybrid grow up for another month... then they are gonners *evil laugh*

Bubble eyes are very delicate unfortunately. Their eye sacs easily puncture when you're not careful with their decors, etc.:(

I don't think there is anything wrong... obviously they naturally bred somewhere prior to an aquarium so it happens. I mean... same could go for dogs now a days... getting cocka-poos and what have you. The mutations are just an adaptation that the fish got from somewhere for some reason. Now... if you started injecting them with stuff to get them to mutate... welllll that'd be another story hahaha :headbang2
