large clear plastic bag. never use a net it will only cause damage and remember to drain the water in the tank first.

:iagree: Very good advice...... very true about the net (I've learned the hard way! :irked:)

Beside the tank turning into a missle launching site, it can damage barbels, eyes, and finage. Big bags are best and be sure to double and triple layer them for larger fish. I have tried catch and release nets before the type that has soft mesh and two poles parallel....this also worked well because once the aro was in there you role up the poles tighning the mesh around the fish imobilizing the aro.

alright thanks

the only time i used a net with my aro was to get it back in the tank. it jumped out and when it was jumping on the ground i slid the net under it while it was in the air and then got it back in the water. but i would use a clear bag if you had the option
