How do you people catch and move an arrow

a catch and release cradle would work perfectly. carp, pike, and musky fisherman use them for their monster catches. i'm thinking about making one with some mesh and two pvc pipes. the last time i tried to catch an aro with a bag, the fish launched out of my tank and onto the couch. it was hilarious. i can play back in my head in slow motion over and over. only damage done was a few missing scales.

here's a link to the cradle: http://www.thornebros.com/muskie/releasetools/frabill/frabill_nets.html

if comfortable enough try to tire out the aro first by chasing it a bit until its clearly tired. that's what I did and just caught it with a bucket and transferred. A cooler would work for a larger fish. But take your time because its gonna ram whatever its in. I know petsmart would save their plastic bags they get from their goldfishes. You could call and asked them if you need to.

This is bad for any fish. They don't get tired they get stressed and chasing a large aro will only result in injury.

If its just moving them around your house, after draining I slow them down or knock um out w/ clove oil, then use a pillow case.

I've considered doing this, my problem is the small openings on the tank they are currently in. Do you have any recommendations on dosage.

clear plastic bags are a yes!, I done this with my 20" before silver, he just swim right in it. The same thing with my jardini.

i dont know how your arows react but mine lets be pet them.....i usually use a big garbage bag...and put it up when they are approaching me...its basically the same idea of transporting fish from lfs...but on a much larger scale....o yea triple the bags........or u can use a clean towel as a hoist..
