Here is a link to the site where I found the info,

http://thegab.org/Articles/SedateFinquelCloveOil.html

looks like 5 drops per gallon. Available in drugstores usually in the dental section.

Just be warned......DO NOT overdose because clove oil can also be used to euthanize if the dosage is too strong. The safest product to knock out a fish is transmore (ms-222).

Thanks for the link.

plastic bags and a metal coat hook

make the coat hook into a ring then put the bag over the coat hook ring this stops the plastic bag flapping around and closing when you are making the aro swim into the bag

lights on and make the aro swim throw the ring the aro must swim in head 1st or it can easy jump out

once the aro is in the bag bring the ring to the front of the tank glass then lights off and let the aro calm down

then syphon some water out of the bag to make it essayer to lift out of the tank

job done :D

get a semi/totally transparent bag around 2ft in diameter. submerge it fully in the water. lower water level and coax the aro in.

if handling small aros <15", would suggest doing the same as above just that using a net to get the fellow while still in the water and push it in the bag. also try to train your aro to get used to nets so it doesn't get that startled when it sees one and makes it really easy to bag them.

do remember bags do get quite heavy with the water in it, so try get a friend along to help if handling large aros.
