Odd behavior for an oscar

It seemed odd to me, but then again my Oscar is odd to begin with lol. He's a lot like me, I honestly swear he has OCD. If any little thing in the tank changes at all. Such as a bulb in the light fixture goes out so the lighting is dimmer all the sudden, or if I move anything at all in his tank. Then he goes over to the corner and actually lays on his side flat on the bottom and sulks like a just shoot his dog. The first time he did that I freaked and thought he had died lol. He really is one of the strangest fish I have ever had that's for sure.

Sounds like an Oscar. Ive only had a couple but that is what I remember, and how like dogs they greet you and swim excitedly back and forth. Mine also liked to redecorate. For the most part mine didnt sulk to much mostly happy.

Oh you should make a guard for it. Im sure you know how. It'd be ashame to loose him from that. I was lucky when one of my fish broke one of my heaters a long time ago. I had a ground probe but still. I use mostly titanium heating elements now or put a guard on them.
