I have no idea how accurate the following is, but if what Fauci states is true, we could be a long ways off from being back to normal.



"When a vaccinated person gets infected with delta -- called a "breakthrough infection" -- "the level of virus in their nasopharynx is about 1,000 times higher than with the alpha variant," Fauci said in an interview Wednesday with MSNBC.
 
Hello; I again ask the question of anyone who knows. How does the level of virus in the nasal area get calculated? There must be some way to test other than the yes/no sort of test which can only show the presence of virus. I am not familiar with such a test that quantifies the amount of viral load. There must be such a method.
 
Pfizer was shot down for a booster shot. Pfizer is now stating that immunity drops 83% at 4 months - still clamoring for their booster shot. More $$$ for them.....

Hello; Is there information about the severity of the illness among the vaccinated?

Hello; Interesting read. Not a straight forward thing after all. Two parts seemed important. The statement that if it is not dependable it can not be depended on is one. That the tests may pick up on viral debris many days after a person is recovered is another. It is a type of SWAG. (Scientific Wild A** Guess)
So when Fauci says a a thousand times more load it is a fairly rough estimate. Thanks.

Hello; I read the KEY points. So at the point of the article vaccinated folks with compromised immune systems are likely to be hit hard if they get an infection of a covid strain just like they will be hit hard if they catch any number of other disease. So tough luck if you have a poor immune system same as before the pandemic and the vaccines.

Unpublished data are consistent with this, and additional data collection and studies are underway to understand the level and duration of transmissibility from Delta vaccine breakthrough infections in the United States and other settings.

Then add in the very real possibility of new variants, that the current vaccines may not be effective against.


I think that some folks only see/read what they want to.


Even if only twice as heavy of a viral load (not the 1000% reported by Fauci), still not good for future waves and their end result.
