And if you just get the shingles vaccine then it wouldn't be a problem!
Hello; That is one way to look at it. However the issue is not just shingles if the doctor in my link is correct about a side effect of the mRNA shots. I get that some have dismissed his claims totally. What I got from the part of his talk which included shingles was more important than just shingles. Again I do hope he is wrong since I took an mRNA shots.
The implication is the mRNA interferes with some things like T-cells. I guess the worst of the things he mentioned would be an increase in cancers among those who took the shots. Shingles would be among the least of the problems if (A big IF) he has come upon anything accurate.
One thing he mentioned was the possibility of increased infertility. That is itself would not concern me personally. I am old and past that sort of thing and I decided to be childless decades ago.

I do not know if he is full of it and giving out false information or if he has seen something that needs to be looked at. He is a pathologist and apparently has seen some things when looking at bodies. It would seem that other pathologist could look for the same sorts of things and either find them or not.

If it were just about shingles then no a big deal. I had it and got thru it . I have had worse problems.

I was gung ho to go to the DMV tomorrow and take care of some paperwork that desperately needs doing before my fees and fines get any higher. Unfortunately I have not felt like standing in line outdoors when the air is this bad, and if I show up wheeling an oxygen tank on a welding cart they’ll revoke my drivers license.

California can wait for their money. They had a budget surplus. Screw it for now.
Make an appt with the DMV - basically no waiting then.

Ok I found this easily. I knew it wasn’t serious because they said it wasn’t serious in his case. This was reportedly what Joe Biden had:

You would think that that is the case, and since there is a newDMV*** under 1 mile from my house, it shouldn’t be a problem. BUT, The Fresno county DMV’s are about the busiest in the entire state because of transients.

The last time I went there I had an appointment, and It took 10 minutes just to get into the building.

I ended up waiting 45 minutes more before they took my picture and gave me a temporary.

But now the lines are 10x as long, and I have more complicated business, so I am not hoping for miracles.

*** I drew the structural plans for our newest & largest DMV. My associate drew the one by my house. I need a special inspection and I’m hoping that they will send me to the big DMV to have it done because I haven’t been inside that building since it was completed.

well unless I start feeling better I’m not gonna be up for this tomorrow.

Hello; Here is something likely not to hard to confirm if true or dismiss if false. Saw a report stating somewhere around 75% of those who have had the worst effects of covid, including death, have been obese. I knew being obese was considered a co-morbidity but had no idea about this stat. Does anyone know?

Well I did get out to the boatyard for an hour more, and I realized that I only have a 7” cup on a 9” grinder. This thing is a monster that will rip you up in one short moment of inattention. Anyhow I continued cleaning up the steel to expose any cracks I need to weld before having it sandblasted.

The cracks are exposed easily the steel is burnished.

Both rails are cracked from me doing wheelies on my dad’s lawn tractor.

Anyhow, this has nothing to do with Covid except that I figure as long as I can still work that grinder I’m not sick enough to worry.

I’m not sure I know how to read the chart. Is this telling us that the top tier of people died with hypertension, but were not also obese? Why do I feel that should be one category?

Do we even have that many physically “standard” people with hypertension?

I ask this because I am at my perfect normal weight of 175 at 5 foot 10 and I have not been fat for 10 years. But I still do have mild hypertension. And sometimes it’s not mild.

When I weighed 240 I was taking drugs for this, but after I lost weight I quit taking them. I will probably have to start again.

I think the remaining problems are mainly from years of smoking that gunked up my lungs & arteries. I’m concerned that one of these days they will send me in for surgery.

These were the underlying conditions that the patients had in addition to COVID-19. A lot of the conditions are frequently seen/associated with each other. Example: My mother didn't get COVID-19, but she certainly had a lot of the conditions listed - end stage kidney failure, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, atherosclerosis. All of these conditions contributed to her kidney failure.

As far as the chart goes: over 50% of the patients in the study had hypertension; nearly 50% of them had high cholesterol and 33% of the patients were obese and 32% were diabetic; etc. The patients had multiple conditions that placed them at higher risk to COVID-19.

Thank you, that makes sense.

Since the Covid crisis began my fish are getting much better care than ever before.

I am trying to take much better care of myself but I still spend a lot of time lounging. I built a home theater system and now I wanna sit there and dwell in it.

But today I got outside and got some sun and fresh air, and my fish got 100 gallons of clean water and my trees got 100 gallons of poopy fish water. It’s paying off in the trees are looking greener.

But the air outside still sucks and I’m gonna go indoors and breeze filtered air now.
