Interesting data to have for sure, but by the dates of collection, I assume that the vast majority of those cases would have been the Alpha variant, not Delta.

Underlying Medical Conditions and Severe Illness Among 540,667 Adults Hospitalized With COVID-19, March 2020–March 2021

Unfortunately with the Delta variant, hospitals are seeing more young people, that are lacking comorbidities. Our local hospital has been seeing the same as below, patients in their 30's, sans co-morbidities, now in the hospital laying on their stomach with a tube shoved down their throat.

75 Doctors from Florida Hospitals Walk Out in Protest of Unvaccinated Patients: 'We Are Exhausted' (msn.com)

" "The heartbreak now, is we're not just going in to work and working long hours, but we're seeing people who don't need to be in the hospital, who are healthy and young, who don't have the co-morbidities that we typically see, and they're getting this from a preventable illness," Dr. Ethan Chapin of Jupiter Medical Center told WPTV. "

"The irony is difficult to deal with some times," he said. "It's [them] trying to reach out to us when we've already extended our hand to help them. And they've pushed it aside, and ignored our advice, and then they come back asking. And it's frustrating, and heartbreaking."

This isn't just hitting the old, fat, and the weak. And whether one dies, or not, isn't the end goal either. Ask those that have had a tube shoved down their throat, and been lucky enough to survive, how their long game plays out, with regards to their overall health. I'm sure there will be plenty of papers published in the years to come regarding how long covid affects lungs, heart, the immune system, etc.

Unfortunately this is a sad fact of human nature. It’s not only seen in the medical business but I saw exactly the same thing in engineering, auto repair, equipment rental, factory maintenance, and basically every job or project I’ve ever been associated with.

People will hire you and then they won’t listen to you when you tell them what they need to know. There were things they don’t want to hear and they just ignore them.

I remember telling people 100 times to get their equipment layouts done early so that they could be integrated into the structural design. This actually happened a few times.

Mostly they sent some garbage that just confused things when it was changed later, or they didn’t send anything in time.

This meant they would be cutting holes in the building later that weren’t supposed to be there and would need additional reinforcements compensations calculations plans and expenses landed on us.

As engineers, we later became fortunate in that we were in a market that often allowed us to choose our clients and avoid troublesome ones.

ER Doctors, not so much. They pretty much have to treat whomever is dragged in.

Hello; Not ready to post information just yet but there seems to be something not quite straight forward with the recent authorization of one of the vaccines. I have been reading about it and still have some questions. One of the things I hope to find out about is if the EUA (emergency use authorization) is still in some ways still in effect. I have seen some documents stating the final report on the vaccine to be in the year 2023.

I have found some articles making statements about an agreement with some details that seem questionable. Before I post such I will do some more checking. If anyone has a link or few about this please let me know.
