I have surgical N95 ASTM Level 3 masks that are REALLY tight fitting. I prefer the slightly less protective N95 masks.

When I worked at a super maximum security prison, I was fitted for an N99 mask. Had to go through testing to make sure everything was sealed around my face.

All that said, I can't wear an N95 mask when I'm walking up hill exerting myself....can't get enough air. Looking for a good exercise mask that filters out pollens, dust and molds that I can wear outside when there is no one around. My allergies are getting worse. This summer I wore a mask while launching our boat and kept it on until we were far from shore. I did fine most days. There were a few days I started sneezing violently. It was always when the wind had picked up and was probably blowing pollens from shore. Kind of a PITA.....I have one mask on and carry an N95 mask in case I come in contact with other people.

I must have missed a memo

I thought masks were so you didn't spread viruses not to keep you from catching one

I eagerly await informational links

.....ahhhh, now it all makes sense, it's amazing how a couple of crude pictures explain all this scientific jargon. So....we don't need masks at all.....just a nice pair of tight fitting trousers...gotcha

Ooooff….I had one of those “Level 3 (high) - high-velocity procedures, orthopedic surgery” yesterday, but it was dental surgery, and he was chucking chips of tooth down my throat with the electric drill.
Then I went to the OD and got some antibiotic drops for my very bloodshot eye and it is feeling much better today.

I felt so good I went out and changed both of the wheel bearing hubs on the front of my truck this morning.

So now I gotta clean up, make some dinner, and go get the Covid shot. If I never post again here you guys will know what happened, because I’m feeling as healthy as a horse today.

OK, it’s official, I’ve been poked with Moderna, and I went to Vons because the little clinic here is always deserted.

They are slow, but with 12 chairs I am the only one here. No sick folks, screaming babies, coughing old ladies or tipsy homeless looking dudes with bad acne.

Some land whale in one of those electric go-carts tried to run over my foot, but other than that it was a painless experience.

Finally a little good news. Finally something is being done in my community.

A little bad news for me. The Chinese N95 masks I use had their NIOSH number revoked. They are not recommended for use by health care workers. :( :( I have over 300 of them. :(

This happened last May.

Very sad this happened. When our hospitals are full of COVID-19 patients, other patients die from lack of treatment.
