Hello; I have lost a few relatives and in-laws but could see them while still alive unless it was sudden. Could go to funerals at least. I do not know how being banned from saying good by or going to a funeral would affect me. Good luck with dealing with this.

I am likely wrong but thought I saw a news blurb about the restrictions starting up again in at least some portions of your country. Best if I am wrong for sure. I figure being half a world away means my getting good news is iffy.

Once the extra controversaries around lockdowns go away here in my country there might be some real answers had about the effectiveness of lockdowns and the related costs. Some of the costs are known in the form of jobs lost and businesses closed for good. I was very suspicious of the lockdown cost being too great from the start. I do now think a pretty good case can be made against such extensive and all inclusive lockdowns if we are allowed to take an honest look at the evidence about both the virus itself and the lockdowns effect.

The good news is we have finally lifted our lockdown

I think the lockdowns have done a great job here. I think in large part due to them Covid here has resulted in a negative number of deaths. 5% drop in overall death rate, 1500 fewer deaths than average. In addition to eliminating covid, we also almost wiped out the flu, with a 99.8% reduction.

Hello; Yes I have from time to time seen news reports about the covid19 restrictions in your country. What is your take on the costs associated with the lockdowns?

Thanks, we knew it was coming but circumstances just made it worse. She was very prepared for the end, if im ever in that position I hope I could be so calm and philisophical about it.

Most of Australia has been out of lockdown since June, my state had a big second outbreak so we got locked down again from june until now. The lockdowns certainly stop virus transmission but a lot of people have suffered financially and emotionally.I imagine anyone who has someone close to them die from corona would have suffered too. I wonder what the financial costs will be when all this is over versus the lives saved and health system not being over run. I dont really know myself yet, luckily i have kept my job so not affected financially thankfully. No matter what, its here to stay now so we beter learn a better way of dealing with it than just locking everything down as it wont work long term and will send everyone broke and crazy.

Try not to let it get you down too much. Will you still be working through this lockdown like the first one? I found our 2nd lockdown had a very different vibe to the 1st one. 1st time around it was a novelty and everyone doing push up or baking challenges and zoom catch ups. 2nd time was more "piss off and leave me alone" I found keeping a routine, a bit of excercise, eating healthy and not letting bad habits like smoking or drinking or whatever your vices are get out of control kept things bearable. A it of perspective helped me too, if my biggest problem was being bored in a warm house with my family during winter I didnt really have too much to complain about. Good Luck.....
