I got a shingle before. Just one. Go figure…
This has happened more than once, that I got one single shingle.

They disappear as mysteriously as they appear. But I never get a patch or a rash of them.

Maybe something completely different…?

I think that occurs from just thinking about a vaccine. lol ?

No kidding.

Merely reading this thread about them gives me a headache.

LOL . . . No the last one was years ago. Someone told me it might be a reaction to wheat gluten. Anyhow, I had a friend with shingles so I have seen them & it looked the same.

Just lonely.

Anyhow, today is not good .There’s a big bite mark on one of my prize fish, I’m out of bio-cleaner & LFS is closed, UPS says not delivered my car parts yet, and I may have had a slight stroke.

Saturday I ate some potato soup so spicy it nearly killed me. It was also very smoky outside, and I have been grinding steel, which is a stinky business as well.

I was up and down all damn night. My blood pressure was 159/99 at some point. I had chest pains, head pain, arthritic arm pain and real fatigue. I was drinking tea, taking pills, and huffing oxygen on and off.

Sunday morning I woke up late with this.

Same thing happened to Joe Biden right before the election. (Mild stroke or heart attack) Not a comfort, considering…

I need to go see my optometrist but he is not open this morning & my vision is OK.

Sunday my health was good enough to go out (even though it is smoggy & smokey outdoors) to clean up the shop and boatyard some, disassemble an old steel case desk for metal panels, & scrub down some used steel for my car project. I got down on the ground with a wire brush and a hose & I got all the mud and loose rust off of it. Then I started in with the 7” Milwaukee angle head grinder & wire cup.

Anyhow that’s a lot of work and I was breathing fine, But by 5 o’clock when I came in to make dinner I was worn out. Well in truth I probably hadn’t had over 4 hours of sleep the previous night and none of it was continuous.

I need to fire the welder but I won’t todaybecause the eyeball’s kind of sore. Just looking at the iPhone is starting to be a pain, and so I don’t need to be staring at steel the temperature of the sun right now.

Yes, anything is possible when it comes to stress and a persons individual immune system. But the reality is there is absolutely no way to determine the exact cause or trigger of any case of shingles. It could be one single stressful event, or a multitude of things taking place at once. The general consensus in the medical field is that shingles is triggered by a weakened or compromised immune system. Vaccines don't cause shingles, but the stress of a vaccine could be enough to trigger an outbreak of shingles in a person. But so could a million other things .......
And if you just get the shingles vaccine then it wouldn't be a problem!

Thanks guys. I did relax more today, as it all did kind of catch-up with me. Hopefully I won’t run into a brick wall. My blood pressure is down to 142/81. Whew!

Today I looked at one piece of steel that had a crack, and I drilled a hole in the crack so I could weld it up. But I didn’t weld. There was no way I could get into the right mood to do it, and since I’m not doing it for a living, I’m not doing it when I don’t want to.

The flipside of that luxury is that eventually I have to let my wife park in the garage again, So I don’t have the luxury of letting this project run amok.

Smoke is still coming down from the mountains in the far north. I barbecued a nice pork roast, but I did it on the propane barbecue, because I didn’t feel like building a fire half of California is toasted and smoked.

I was gung ho to go to the DMV tomorrow and take care of some paperwork that desperately needs doing before my fees and fines get any higher. Unfortunately I have not felt like standing in line outdoors when the air is this bad, and if I show up wheeling an oxygen tank on a welding cart they’ll revoke my drivers license.

California can wait for their money. They had a budget surplus. Screw it for now.
