If I got this stock in a 225 gallon aquarium how long would it be before I had to upgrade? I was told about 2 years but want to verify because ill need the time to acquire money and would a 300 gallon be a sufficient upgrade?
1 Silver Arowana
1 Florida Gar
1 Ornate Bichir
3 Peacock Bass
1 Clown Knife
1 Lima Shovelnose

The upgrade would pretty much just be for the Arowana because the other fish would be fine for life right?

You need a 3' wide tank. I would guess about 3 years. If you plan on keeping them for life I think you would need about 600 gallons for all of them. Lord knows how many fish I planned to keep for life over the last 40 years.............

No, but you have other fish that will be very large. Most 3' wide tanks are at least 400 gallons.

I'm aware of the CKF getting large but from what I've seen on YouTube Peacock Bass don't come nearly as close to the size they get in the wild in captivity. Usually no more than 20". And the gar can get up to 24" but 20" is more likely in captivity.

Silver arowana grow at an average rate of 1-1.5" per month. The tank you have is good for upto about a 24" silver aro. So a 6" aro could outgrow that tank in as little as a year. Figure at best your gonna get 2 years out of that tank, before you have to make a decision on to how you want to house the beast.
