:D:Di just started learning about turtles too... thanks to all the great turtle experts here for giving me great info ... they are doing so well... i know you will always have animal pets.... :D

Yer hopfully i will always will keep some sort of pet . :D

started off with a Dog , Family dog when was 4 ,

Then a Hampster when i was about 5 ,

Then got Goldfish when i was about 6 , kept him in a tiny TINY bowl but it died within days ( so i dont really count that as keeping fish ) ,

More Goldfish but in a bigger ( but still small ) tank when i was 10 and kept getting more Goldfish since , aswel as getting Koi for the few tanks i have and for the 2 ponds ( 1 full of Goldfish and the second full of Koi ) ,

Plus 6 Budgies when i was 10 , aswel as another Hampster ,

16 i started keeping a few small types of Tropical fish like Tetra , Cory and Barbs and then since then i have just getting more and more Tropical fish aslong as a few bigger tanks ,

For my 18th Birthday i asked and got given a dog for myself , which has just turned 2 March just gone ( a little but very active black Lab' ) ,

Just yesterday at the age of 19 i have got 3 Turtles .

I am now thinking on getting a few Tree Frogs and maybe a couple of Lizards over the next couple of years ( fingers crossed ) . :D

i don't have that one..maybe i should look into getting it.. glad you found it.

I am 17 and I would say that i have been fishkeeping since I was born because my dad is also into fish keeping, the first fish I remember are 2 oscars that he had forever, when they died I took over and started setting up more and more (now up to like 25 tanks). I really got into fishkeeping when I started to inherit tanks and move away from the "peaceful community tank". Now I realize the importance of each kind of setup (ex. community, monster, breeding, show, ect.). I hope to learn and share as much and more than I have and will continue to learn.

good for you... wow 25 tanks and your only 17.. you sure are busy.. love to see a pic of them... your dad must be thrilled you took over the hobby with such a zest.

i started my first tank about 5 months ago, because my brother in law had an awesome setup and i was jealous. now im hooked and i feel like an expert amongst my friends, but i know im nowhere near one. i love tropical freshwater fish and i think that by the time i get my own house, im gonna turn my whole garage into a pond, just for a rtc.

I used to keep different bettas, tetras, goldfish, etc. When I was a teenager(96-00). I just recently got back into it last summer, by picking up a 29 gallon at the LPS. In a few short months I have a 3, 10, 10, 20, 29, 55, and a 75. I would only put my IQ at a 1 or 2 though, because there is so much to learn!!!!

I've had fish around since I was 3 years old & i'm 17 now so i've been fishkeeping for 14 years & still going strong, your always learning new things. I've had thousands of fish, 3,015 to be exact i've kept the numbers in a notebook, I would write the species & how many I had & it just continued over the years. But you NEVER KNOW EVERYTHING, because if you did fishkeeping wouldn't be fun & you wouldn't feel the reward of accomplishment of a job well done.
