Ahh, that sucks!!! Sorry to hear that dogg

Sorry for your loss Trev.

Crappy week for fishkeepers.

I lost a big whitemouth moray Sun. morning. Looked for one for almost 2 years. Find one, drive 7 hours 1 way to get it and it kicks the bucket after being in my possesion for less than 12 hours.

How big was your arro Trev? I may pick uip one this weekend for my Armatus to play with.....he's lonely cause his tankmates always seem to lose...

8 in Armatus with a 12-14 in arro?

Thoughts?

it sucks! i dont wanna keep my armatus solo but i dont think i have any more options. the aro was 24 inches plus

i would try getting him a tankmate b4 he gets too big.

a 14inch aro might be a little small though. worth a try in my book

Why dont you try a large Gar??

Not sure what planet you all are living on, but I wouldn't dare put anything in my tank with my armatus unless I wanted it shanked a few times. Theres just no way my guy would accept another mate unless it was way bigger than him.

JD had him in with a massive distichodus and datnoid, and other things, but the smaller peacock in there looked scared ****less. The damn fish even fake bullrushes my hand through the glass, baring his teeth.

Some of the japanese sites show them "cohabbing," but all with very large tankmates, and the armatus look very, very well fed.

You guys know your fish better than I do, and considering I am new to this monster fish/armatus game, you will be fine...but I'll be watching to see what works and what doesn't. I just can't afford a $100.00 feeder, when the armatus will literally poop it out in half a day.
