How long until my tank will complete its cycle

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
When I was cycling mine I would get readings that were all basically zero like yours were. What I was told is that it means the cycle has started but there wasn't enough ammonia to continue it so I would add it 5ml at a time until it would be completely processed in 12 hours and I would see nitrate rise from it. For a cuc I ordered mine from reefcleaners.com and am really happy with them, although I ordered the quick crew recommended for my tank(28G) and had to give away most of it to a friend for his 55G and I still have too much. John is a great guy to deal with but is definitely over generous with what he sends out.

Well thanks for the advice you guys here don't jump down people's throat when they do something wrong like in the freshwater part of the forum

AIO=all in one, like a biocube. They're tanks with an attached hood with lighting and all the filtration is built in. The only equipment that needs to be added is a heater and a skimmer if you want one.

whats up with all this testing? I jus dump 20% old water from my 100 gallon right into my new 180 gallon then fill up my 180 gallon and put fishes in.the same day. they still alive. no water change 2 months. crystal clear water

What skimmer exactly are you looking at? Also are you running a sump where the skimmer can go or does it need to be a HOB? I'm using the Aquamaxx HOB-1 on my 28G and I really like it, but it's a bit pricey.
