All of my losses have been kuhli loachs. They have been very problematic for me to keep alive apparently.

My biggest loss( though not of this year) still remains Ginny my eye pleco...I wish she could have survived until I could have taken her back or found a new home. She was my favorite fish out of my long time then eight catfish set. When I see topics about blue eyed plecos I tend to skip now, just makes me sad.

Thats how i feel when i have to face up to pacu pictures and threads about them.. i am sorry.. some just cannot be replaced even with time.

i lost one flower horn fry a african knife 2 clown loaches i think all were diseased before i got them as for they never came to after being put in the water glad this happened though i have an awesome setup now with my severums and bp's

Wow. I hadn't really thought about it until I saw this thread. We've lost one of our gold dojo loaches to a polypterus palmas. The polypterus palmas when I removed her from that tank to (try) to allow the dojo to heal. We've also lost nine tiger barbs, one at a time to our african brown knifefish. I had that particular dojo, Frick for about three years; it was very sad. I had just turned on the light in the tank for the day and was getting ready to sit down and say good morning to the guys when I saw Polly running madly about the bottom with Frick in her mouth, waving like a flag. I managed to get him away from Polly and removed Polly to a holding tank. Later in the day, I placed my hand in the tank to restore the plants that were disturbed - Frick swam over to my hand and lay in my palm. That was a little tough and still kind of chokes me up to think about. I believe that many people who don't keep fish don't really understand that they're not mindless amusements; each really does have it's own little personality and they really do seem to develop a sort of bond with us.
