Sorry for the misunderstanding. For a more peaceful tank you could do the labs and rustys. If you wanted more of an assortment add the red zebras and kenyi. I wouldnt mix the peacocks with any of these fish.

Its alright man i guess i should have made more sense....but anyway back to this topic...yea do like the rustys they seem very peaceful and the yellow labs look cool too.....but i heard that rusty cichlids are veggie type of cichlids so is that like giving them some green food...or can i get away with giving them some meaty food!

mainly a good idea...but I have had luck with Labs and peacocks rustys have never been a problem for me, but I could see it being a problem...

All of the fish you like are herbivores. They eat a vegi based diet but can be fed some protein every now and then. Yes, Mike the peacocks could go with the labs but I would think twice about having them with the lombardoi. Ohhh bad experiences.

rusty cichlids, red peacocks, yellow labs... I love all of these. If you are interested in a mix like this you could also add other male peacocks to it. A smaller hap or two a different hap that would be fun is a hap electra... yellow blaze is cool... these are common names, but I would browse the species info at Cichlid forum and get some ideas and then put a list in dream ideas together and post for more thoughts.

Remember its just a temporary tank,Im thinking maybe having a group of these for about six months or so.

Althought i know you cant mix some of these fish....and i really dont know how many i should get i would like to think of getting at least 1 pair but i dont know..hard task to decide at a stage where they are only frys!

HERE IS MY LIST

3 RUSTY
2 YELLOW LAB
2 PEACOCKS
2 RED ZEBRAS

Pairs are hard to keep with africans. Most of the time one will become dominant and well you know the rest. I would start with a group of yellow labs as they are the most peaceful. You could always later add fish and not have problems.

with peacocks labs and rustys you could feed them all New Life spectrum... and some romane lettuce, some shelled frozen peas, partly cooked Zuccinee or cucumber most mbuna are veggie eaters...but I treat with some brine shrimp at times too

You could also do 5 yellow labs and 5 rustys.
