  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Current stock is
22" rtc
23-24" tsn
3 oscars 8-10"
16" Florida gar
14" common pleco
14" tsnxlei
Future stock in grow outs
3" alligator gar
6" tsnxrtc hybrid.

I really would like some convicts or something that are small but more active.

if you're looking for activity, a group of like 300 serpae tetras would look amazing, zebra danios, and a small group of larger barbs are other options

Everything in his stock list but the plecos would just kill them.

I cringe thinking the waste that would be created by 15 full grown O's... X_X

yeah with all those big cats and gars you dont need to be adding anything more to that pond, and will need to build an even larger pond in the future most of those fish have the potential to EASILY get over 3ft in length

Are the tilapia the black stripey ones? My friend had one that was a killer, and from what I read most of them are and yours are breeding? Keep a close eye out for dead oscars, your tank is prolly big enough though.
Black stripey ones are called Zebra tilapia

he said his fish have no interest in live food at all and just sit there

+ i think a school of 300 would be a lot safer than normal

and why would anything happen to barbs? i meant tinfoils, lemons, l. hoevennii, etc....

This pond is just a intermediat step to a larger pond. It's actually being built so that it's modular and easily expandable from 12x6 to 12x8,10, or 12 which ever I choose. And as for the tetras being eaten. The place is prob the one to do it lol.

oh ok, then yeah i think adding in some convicts would be cool or like other have said a huge school of serpaes or something, but i think the pond would have to be heavily planted or something or they will just gradually disappear, once the other fish are much larger then they will most likely ignore the small tetras but the Os might still go after them, i know i had a rescue O straight up eat a school of 15 serpaes within 3days and he was only 8in...
