how many people have divorced parents?

My Dad went on truckin when he heard my Mom was pregnant. I have a bunch of half brothers and sisters out there. Driving truck gives him a reason not to settle down..
 
dad when i was 1....seen him when i was ten told him i didnt wanna see his face ever again...he was just a ****ing dickhead
 
Wow, I'm shocked so many of you share your stories so openly.

I've got my own sorted past, but I don't even talk to my friends about it. Especially the ones that want to know.
 
My parents split up last month, but have been seperated for two years........rather not talk about why.........

I think that says a lot about this community. Sometimes that's what needs to be done. I'd rather see people talking about it than unloading several clips into a crowd of people claiming "no one would listen."

Wow...there are some sad stories in this thread. I hope the best for all of you.

My parents divorced 3 years ago after being married for 28 years. My Dad was unfaithful and has since married the woman he was cheating with.
He expects me and my sisters to accept our new "mommy" with open arms.
I DONT THINK SO!!!!
Anyhow, enough about my ranting over my messed up family.

Why is it so hard to accept?Unfortunately it is a part of life and in the end just another one of lifes expieriences some have to go through.To me,the ability to talk about it shows one has dealt with the experience and is more than likely stronger for it.:)
