Yea I've always been of the mindset one really nice tank is the way to go but if you want a bunch of different fish with different needs than I can totally understand Multiple tanks. Whatever floats your boat.

We have 145 tanks up and running. In them we have everything from guppies to a giant gourami but most of our fish are cichlids. our plan is to be able to have a supply of less common fish for the LFS at a fair price and less stress from shipping.
This summer I hope to build a fish house hopefully 40x60. In it I can finally set up our 1100 gallon tank and all of our other tanks with room to spare. We must have close to 100 spare tanks in storage right now.

160 Fla GAR and two birchers
55 chink alge eater 4 chichlids and 3 cloner crawdaddies
and two 30's
one 30 has orange chink alea eater 7 congo tetras 4 cloner craw dadies
other has rainbow shark worlds most expensive feeder GF ( fair ping pong balls and my daughter LOL ) two congo bush fish
and 3 cloners crawdaddies.
Funny part is I started with one crawdaddy 4 years ago and they just keep showing up.
And a pile of tanks empty in the back garage.

Yeah it would be but It's supposed to be my mom's classroom tank but it came home over winter break and hasn't made it back to the school yet.I bet that reef tank would be way sicker if it was in the 36 Bowfront
lol I just got a 75g ready to go and a 110X-high coming this weekend and I don't even know where to put them. I have so much stuff in my basement it's gonna stunt MY GROWTH
