Old school fk's don't believe in a lot of wc but old school didn't have same technology or same nutrition, thus the more nutrients you pump into them the more waste pumps out of them, thus more wc are needed to provide a stable environment.

You both have points but I'm new school and my generation grows fast big fish, may take more work, money and time but I've seen recent Piranha growth is more then old school techniques.

I do two 25% the first two weeks of the month then skip a week a do a 50-75% change the last week of the month

You make no sense whatsoever. First you are telling myself and everyone else that too many WC's are bad b/c you are killing the bb, which is not true. Then you turn around an tell us you sometimes don't add prime to your water which WILL kill bb in your filter and substrate etc... Maybe to you it's no big deal, but you run the risk of sending your filtration through a "mini cycle" which is not good for your fish. It appears you don't care either way though. Whatever works for you buddy. I for one shall never do a WC without a prime. I personally won't run that risk and think that's asinine, but two each their own.
