how many years have you been in the hobby

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My first 'aquarium' was a gallon wine bottle with a mudnosed dace and a couple of tadpoles. Since then, my first real aquarium was a 10 (steel frame/slate bottom) and progressed through several upgrades to my largest tank being 2,290 gallons by 10th grade.
Currently, we're at over 125 aquariums. The house is around 2,000sq/ft with only one tank in the house. The hatchery next door is home to the bulk of our collections that fills its 8,000+sq/ft (we're considering building an extension to the building).

Ever since I was 3? 4? 5? IDK! I was tooooo young.

Got my first tank 39"x12"x15" (LxWxH) when i was 10 so 8+ years so far. I also got my first snake and viv (Royal python in a 24"x12"x12") when i was 12 so have been keeping reptiles for 6+ years too. I still have my first fish and first snake.:D:D:D:D

ive been since i was like five

I had to remember what it was about, because i relocated, i haven;'t had a fish tank that was actually mine in over 8 months!!!!!! But hopefully in under a month i will have my tank setup. Until then: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6mnfJwpMx4

That's what i call withdrawal

Oh and i have been in the hobby for over a year, but have kept virtually every main freshwater species. ( ie, cichlids, cories, tetras, african cichlids and so on )

Haha mine were just as bad, i hated my parents for ages. But constant moaning and endless talking about the fish i wish i could keep finally got me a 350G a 90G a scorpion a 3ft viv and a now fully grown royal python and most recently a huge 4ftx2ftx6ft viv (just building it atm, should be done soon) and a pair of true redtail boas:D:D
