sometimes it stings a little when what you think are "facts" are in fact, arent and
somebody proves you wrong. But then you walk away a smarter fish nerd. :)

been keeping them for around 7 years and frequenting fish boards for around about the same time and learn more and more everyday but i am far from calssing myself an experienced fishkeeper.
i have a few areas that really let me down and need to learn more on these subjects.

i have kept fish for as long as i can remember and there will never be a day that i say that i am highly experienced there is way to much to learn and i dont believe that anyone person can be all knowing on fishkeeping knowledge i know thats alittle off of subject but i think that i will stay in the highly experienced but not knowing everything catagory my whole life

I've only been keeping Dicklids for about 2 years now. I have been on a lot of different forums the whole time, wandering into any topics I can in an effort to learn more. I am able to start and maintain a healthy tank and fish. And I know a few Latin names. In the grand scheme of things, not too much.:grinno:

I guess its not so much how long you've kept fish, but what you've done in those years.

I've had fish for almost 20 years and read any literature on them that I can get my hands on, but it wasn't till I discovered this site that opened up my mind on the diversity of the species kept in home aquaria, and also the technical aspects like filtration, DIY projects etc. Up till now, I thought these were to be built by 'professionals' only.

ive been keeping fish for 16 out my 21 years alive. no plans on stopping either.
