How not to start your morning..

I'm not sure if feeding him is smart or possible right now, at least before seeing some improvement. I would throw him in the biggest tank ya got with a piece of driftwood. If you have an hob on the main tank you can throw it on there otherwise I'd use as much tank water as you can feasibly use just so he doesn't experience a nasty ph swing, or something of that nature. I'd leave it as bare as possible, one filter, one heater and one piece of driftwood. Let him brood with clean water. The good news is since you don't have to feed him he shouldn't make the water disgusting that fast. Other than these basics I'm not sure what to do other than let nature take its course.
That was from a feeding last night for the bichirs. But it ended up going into the rocks so no one got it and it came out where he was. And ok so I'll go with the 20L and try to use as much water as I can. I'll clean everything out just in case and then begin to fill it. And set it up.

I'm not talking about anything in particular, if he's eating that would be interesting. I think if you give him space
he might be able to recover but I don't want to give you a false sense of security. Make sure you let the tank heat for a while before adding him, unless someone is stressing him in the big tank then you can drop acclimate via bucket. Hoping the best for you.

hey moe , just a word of encouragement , one of my silvers jumped a while back and busted open his top lip real bad on the lid , i could see the bones and everything , was a pretty bloody mess as well . i wondered if he would be ok .
well he healed up good although he has a distinctive gnarly top jaw line . but it kinda even gives him a bit of character . hopefully with a bit of luck your guy pulls through too . im finding it amazing what fish can heal up from . and a wolf fish no doubt is a pretty tuff sort of fish .

I agree with not messing with it, leaving it be and see what he ends up with, hoping for the best for you.

Oh ok, thank you for the help, I cleaned anything and filled the tank with water from the tank he was already in and just replaced it, it didn't make a big difference. Think if I add salt it'd help? If he makes it great if not, well I'll be looking for another to grow out I guess.
Passionate lip lock I guess in late hours of night. And I am pretty sure curu is more powerful and the resultant vector is this :)
I've never witnessed that behavior from wolves, but if so, the curu is definitely stronger, being much thicker, and almost a foot compared to the mala being 8 inches, for some reason his growth slowed drastically once he hit 7 inches.

Thank you, and yea I've had wolves heal from stuff I wouldn't think of. Hopefully this will be one of those instances. And I never noticed on your aro lol, you keep them in such good shape and do a great job with the camera.

Thank you, I'm making in a week I'll throw a massivore pellet in and see if he try's it depending on his condition then.

Any medications I can try to help? Or just keep his water clean and hope for the best?

No particular meds immediately come to mind but keeping the water clean is paramount.

I would just keep the water pristine, they a pretty hardy fish and as long as healthy in a clean environment should not have a problem with any infection.

Clean water is key, as others have said. I habitually keep an AC70 running on my big tank just in case I ever have to set up a hospital.

I hope your guy pulls through. Wolves are thugs though, if any fish could make it, it's him. :)

Makes sense, maybe I'll do that. And keep this 20 around as a hospital tank. I hope so too, I think he just might honestly. But I don't wanna jinx it. Thank you, I will definitely keep the post updated. Only thing I don't want is to think he's doing better but he's not and keep it going and starve him to death. Cause they can go awhile without food
