How to convince parents to upgrade tank?

800g is a bit big for kids with living with parents i have a 120 so i think im really lucky but they do enjoy my fish my mom likes my porcupine puffer fish and oscar so they like fish with personality

a 800gallon is big for a kid but one of my friends "fishfreak2009" has 16 tanks and probbubly over 700gallons. he has two 180gallons, a 90 and a bunch of other size tanks.

To the OP:
Sorry bro, it happens. I'm 14 now, and it took a lot of convincing to get my parents to let me get a 30 gallon. Some parents are lax about the hobby: some kids on here have AMAZING collections, with tanks that are in the triple digits of gallons and fish I can only sketch. But the best thing to do is to get the best fish you can find for your current tanks, enjoy them, be proud of them. And don't spend your free time salivating over other peoples' tanks. It's a great hobby that everyone can take part in, wether you have a 10 gallon tank or a 1000 gallon tank.

if i had little money and needed space id go for a preformed pond. or some large tubbawear boxes..

or mybe if u did some diy tank stuff too, so that your folks can see your interest and saving money that they would be more inclined to letting u up grade. imo thats what id do

That's how my parents are right now... they won't let me get an 800g pond in the basement even if I pay for it with my own money (which I always do)

Thats a lil intense haha i wld save that when i lived alone but i wld do a 10,000gal instead

I fell u im tryin to find a 100gal my moms ok wit it but my dad doesnt like it. He likes watchinmy fish n stuff but he thinks 100 is too much...i got a 30gal rite now. But talk to ur parents about it find y they said no try to find ways to counter that. But dont start yellin about it it will seal the deal on NO. My prob is my parents rnt willin to talk about it my dad always tries to change the subject or makes a excuse...so good luck! just be proud of whtu have like everyone says! ur on the rite track to bein a MFK

yea it is for the good of my fish lol
