Glass w/ no plastic trim? I'd also do like you mentioned in post #25 and get some trim for this tank. Pretty common dimensions so that shouldn't be too hard.

Is it a Glass-Cages tank? Do you know if it was a factory-built or a DIY project? Just curious...

That is my worst nightmare. You have a pretty good attitude about it all things considered. Keep us updated on the rebuilding process.

omg, worst nightmare come true. If my 300 busted...I would have to give up the hobby.

In all honesty, i think you must have one of the best attitudes for some one who just had 240G worth of water poured on their floor... if my 200G did this i think i would quite literally get out of the game... especially since that is my absolute worst nightmare having 200G of water all over my hardwood floors in a building complex on the 7th floor...

So I had today off went and visited my glass buddy. He is getting me a price quote for 1/2" tempered, star fire, and laminated glass. depending on the price differences I am trying to get star fire but figured i might as well look into some laminated stuff for strength. I also got all the rest of the front viewing pane out of the tank. once this was off i came to find out the top braces were just set on the tank and actually never siliconed front and back so they are going and the plastic stuff is coming in to help with strength and drop weight.
